One hot Texas summer day in 1988 I walked in to our neighborhood Hallmark store just to look around. On this particular day the owner approached me and said, “You are in here a lot…would you like a job?” And the rest as they say is history.

From this point forward I developed my passion for cards, invitations, stationery and gifts. I worked at Ann’s Hallmark through high school and when I was home from college until the store closed in 1996. I enjoyed getting to know the customers and helping them find exactly what they were looking for.

In March of 2007 my husband Trey and I were blessed with our first child William. He is an absolute joy. When we decided I would stay home with William, I chose to embark on my childhood passion and Sunshine Paperie was born! Sunshine – the nickname my husband gave me many years ago and Paperie because it represents everything I love…cards, invitations, stationery and more! I have always dreamed of owning my own store so this is my first step towards that dream. Since having our second son, Bennett, in 2009, I know now more than ever how important it is to make shopping for stationery and personalized gifts easy and convenient!
